What is Grade 1.4104 430F Stainless Steel?
Grade 1.4104 430F stainless steel is martensitic stainless steel. It can be heat treated by controlled addition of Mo and increasing the carbon content. This can also be a cottage cheese solution if necessary. However, the solution annealing temperature is 820 °C. The strength and corrosion resistance are moderate. Due to its porosity, 1.4104 430F stainless steel cannot be used to hold gases or liquids under high pressure.
