Steel grade 1.4835 253MA (also known as UNS S30815 and SS2368) is an austenitic stainless hot steel with good resistance to oxidation. The steel is designed for use at temperatures above 550°C, with the optimum temperature range being 850-1100°C. Steel is suitable for the production of details that have good resistance to temperature corrosion and relatively high strength at high temperatures. It also has good creep strength properties. 1.4835 253MA is non-magnetic but is often slightly magnetic after cold working or welding.
