1.4305 Stainless Steel
All You Need to Know About Austenitic, Readily Machinable Stainless Steel X8CrNiS18-9, 1.4305, SIS2346
What is 1.4305 Stainless Steel Grade
The 1.4305-grade stainless steel is austenitic stainless steel known popularly as grade 303 stainless steel. It is the most readily machinable of all austenitic stainless steels grades available. The corrosion resistance might be slightly lower than some of the grades and may vary depending on the sulfur content.
The 1.4305-grade stainless steel has the following properties:
- Good machinability
- Excellent toughness
- Average corrosion resistance
Why use 1.4305 Stainless Steel
The 1.4305- stainless steel grade tough. The free-machining austenitic stainless steel is suitable for the production of details that require good resistance to atmospheric corrosion. By cold working, the stainless steel can also be made slightly magnetic. It can also be hardened by cold working.
